海の詩 Seashore Rhymes
SEASHELLS
Things come and go
People do as well
Like waves we see
Left on the shore
Are the prettiest shells
To keep
A VIEW ON THE SHORE
O―I long for your gentle hand
That caressed my shivering cheek on sand
The pleasure I treasure
You couldn't possibly measure
Hearing waves crash
Watching mermaids splash
Far in the sight
You might
Never ever recall them
As I miss them
Until the day I go
Let go
Let go
Let the waves all go
Absence makes the heart grow fonder
My moon will be rounder
When I think of you yonder
I visited the beach by myself
But I wasn't all alone there
I watched waves break
Rain was coming but I didn't care
Knowing that you could hear me whisper
Into your ear
How I treasure the starfish and shells
You sent to me to cast some spells
The sand was moist and seagulls were dormant
I listened to breeze die down
As my heart travelled far Eastward
Silently
Yes, silently yet excitedly looking forward
To touching your right cheek
If only I could peek and feel
How the world has been treating
You and how your heart is beating
The beach was quiet but I wasn't alone
The waves come and go
Repeating yeses and nos
TREASURES ON THE BEACH
The beach is where I go when I look for pretty shells and starfish that were once alive.
Corals as well you might find if you are lucky sometimes.
Every time I run into treasures from the sea,
I feel like running along the shore to show them
To whoever might understand the value of the loot.
If only I had somebody so close to see
The wonder of my secret waves
That I keep to myself
That wakes up all my senses
So I was and I am and I have been
Living in all the tenses.
The beach is the place for me
To go through some magical transformation
Known or unknown
I know what goes on.
